Open Call for Applications in the Field of Applied Arts by the Vizuális Művészetek Kollégiuma

Prior registration on the NKA portal is required.


Applications may be submitted under five themes, including: Supporting the participation of Hungarian applied artists in international residencies, workshops, and symposia, as well as the participation of foreign applied artists in Hungarian professional events and courses.


Conditions: Applicants must be registered on the NKA portal.


Form of support: Non-repayable grant


Source of funding: National Cultural Fund, Hungarian central budget (2026)


Total available budget: HUF 6 000 000


Maximum support intensity:

  • up to 100% if not classified as State aid;

  • otherwise according to the relevant provisions of Instruction 6/2024.


Eligible applicants:

  • legal entities organizing and/or hosting the program;

  • private individuals (applied artists or professionals), only as participants (not organizers).

Private individuals:

  • may not apply for personal remuneration;

  • may only account for invoiced expenses;

  • cannot pay themselves fees, even as sole entrepreneurs or company directors;

  • cannot change their applicant status (individual vs. entrepreneur) during the process.


Certain institutions defined as cultural strategic institutions are not eligible to apply.

Applicants with outstanding, incomplete reports or financial settlements from previous grants under a specified subtopic are also ineligible.


Implementation period: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027


Financing: Provided in advance as a grant payment.


Application fee: Applicants must pay a fee equal to 1% of the requested amount + VAT (minimum HUF 10 000 + VAT). Failure to pay results in invalidation of the application. The fee is non-refundable and cannot be included in project accounting.
