Der Greif: Quiet Hours Open Call

  • Jul 19
  • 1 min read

Der Greif invites lens-based artists to explore how nighttime alters our perception and emotions. In honor of National Grief Awareness Day on August 30, this open call examines the link between nighttime and processing loss.

Grief can arise from losing a loved one, ending a relationship, relocating, or major life changes. Nighttime often intensifies these feelings. We seek photographic work captured in twilight or darkness that reflects these personal moments.

Show how you use light and darkness to tell your story of memory, loss, and healing at night. The form is open.

Selected works will be featured in an online exhibition on Der Greif’s website.

Chosen artists will join online critique sessions as part of Der Greif’s Face-to-Face program, offering exchange, feedback, and discussion on ongoing work.

WHY SUBMIT?

Selected artists will receive:

  • Online exhibition on Der Greif’s Pulse section

  • Participation in an online critique session with peers, facilitated by Der Greif staff
