Giga Photo Contest 2025: The Joy of Connection

Giga is thrilled to announce our first competition themed "The Joy of Connection".

Submissions are open via Picter from 1st - 30th April 2025, with three categories:

• Single Image

• Junior Visual Storyteller

• Multiple Image

A panel of 6 international jury members will judge entries on 6 and 7 May 2025 in Geneva. Winners will be announced on our social media.

Founded in 2019, Giga, a UNICEF and ITU partnership, seeks to connect every school to the Internet. The Giga Photo Contest, based in Geneva, emphasizes the internet's role in providing information, opportunity, and choice.

Participants can submit work on themes like:

• Internet's impact in rural/urban and developing/developed areas

• School innovations and connectivity's empowering role

• Technology as a lifeline for relationships

• Digital literacy bridging the digital divide

• Virtual support during crises

• Low-cost tech solutions for connectivity

• Connectivity's role in healthcare access

• Women's participation in the digital space

• Benefits of digital connectivity for vulnerable populations

Open to everyone, with encouragement for emerging photographers.
