European Solidarity Residency

The European Solidarity Residency examines the intersection of art and solidarity on both a local and international scale through research, dialogue, and practice. ESR supports emerging cultural professionals, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. To reach a wide audience, they provide free, continuous access to all online talks, Q&As, and resources for all applicants.

What you'll receive: Accommodation, travel, coworking space, mentoring, and a €1,500 stipend — with EU travel expenses covered + ESR Commons Membership (Free): all applicants gain access to live talks, Q&As, and an expanding resource library—even if not chosen.
Who can apply: Early-career curators and cultural professionals living in Creative Europe countries, including those with children or disabilities, and individuals impacted by any war.
How to apply: Join ESR Commons Membership (free) → fill out the form → submit a CV and a statement of up to 500 words (portfolio optional). Audio/video applications are welcome.
Deadline: Wednesday, 13 May 2026 at 1 pm CEST
Interviews: Mon 15 – Fri 19 June 2026.
