Der Greif x Various Others - Bilder Auf Reisen / Pictures on a Journey

Bilder auf Reisen / Pictures on a Journey is a curated postcard project by Der Greif, inviting global artists to explore "Strange Homeland" and "Encounters." During Various Others (May 8–11) in Munich, part of Hotel Bayerischer Hof will become an interactive installation. A "Post-Officer" will help visitors choose postcards, write messages, and send them worldwide, reviving Mail Art. Each card pairs with poetic texts, linking image and word.
Why submit?
Visibility & Reach: Your work will circulate internationally among festival-goers, art professionals, and hotel guests. Der Greif will select 50 images.
Scholarships: Among the selected, three artists will receive scholarships totaling €4,000—one with €2,000 and two with €1,000 each.
Community & Networking: Join Der Greif's global community, make connections, and gain visibility in contemporary art.
Submit for free or with a voluntary €13 donation.
Please note: Previously selected images are ineligible. Submit new work to support a diverse range of photographers.
Who can submit?
Der Greif accepts submissions from everyone. Images which have been selected for a previous Der Greif opportunity are not eligible for re-submission.
