Artist Residency in Busan, South Korea

Naughty Muse Studios is currently offering a paid residency.

Each resident will be provided with their own area within a shared studio space located just a short walk from the city’s main surfing beach, Songjeong. A variety of tools and facilities, such as an etching press and silk screen facilities are also included.

The purpose of this program is to introduce Busan to new and diverse perspectives, enrich the community through dialogue, and create deeper, more meaningful connections with each other through art, but most importantly is to showcase this beautiful place to a wider audience. For this purpose we have intentionally chosen to separate living spaces from the working space, hoping that it will stimulate the artists to walk around, discover hidden gems and fall in love with Busan as we did.

Residents are provided with individual self-contained studio apartments. Located in the iconic Haeundae area, known for its beautiful beach, luxury hotels, and bustling nightlife.

Eligibility

Applicants are required to have completed post-graduate level education*. Successful applicants should demonstrate commitment to an ongoing art practice showing evidence of research and development work. We encourage applications from artists of diverse backgrounds and diciplines.
