1. Briefly introduce yourself: what are the things you like to do, what is important in your life?
What takes up a lot of my time is listening to music. I enjoy collecting tracks, organizing them into conceptual playlists, and involving my friends in electronic music events. Cycling is not just my favorite mode of transport but also a lifestyle for me. I find it important to work on self-awareness, leave a positive impact, live an environmentally friendly lifestyle, and strive for continuous improvement.
2. What does object design mean to you?
For me, creating is a process of leaving a mark—a journey that moves from the outside in, and then from the inside out. It’s a way to express myself or solve a problem. It’s important to me that my work evokes emotions and prompts questions in the viewer.
3. What or who inspires you in your own creative work?
Inspired by the work of EJTECH, the kinetic sculptures of Ivan Black, and the auditory and visual elements of the electronic music scene.
4. What was the last topic you dealt with?
Most recently, I have been immersed in the concept of a psychological board game. I have been exploring how to create a safe framework for a process that encourages openness, deep conversations, and facilitates discussing our problems.
5. In your opinion, does Odorheiu Secuiesc need associations/communities that support contemporary art activities?
I see great value in associations and communities that support contemporary art activities. People need this kind of intellectual stimulation just as much as artworks—our artworks—need an audience to view, participate, and interpret them.
6. What does it mean to you to be an artist from Odorheiu Secuiesc or its surroundings?
For me, it means having a stable and familiar origin. I am convinced that my roots have a significant impact on my personality and, consequently, on my creative work. It was partly the opportunities and limitations of my hometown that guided me to the path I am on today, and for that, I think of it with gratitude.
7. What opportunities do you see in Off Space's initiatives and how does the association differ from similar organisations/initiatives in Odorheiu Secuiesc?
In the Off Space initiative, I see a dynamic that has the potential to bring a Western, contemporary model to the East. It is driven by a desire to build community and powered by a self-organizing engine.
8. What would you change in Odorheiu Secuiesc from an artistic point of view?
People need to experience more and more art in all its forms—more media work, more music, more unconventional themes. I also believe it is important to adopt the approach that many contemporary artists are exploring: to observe the Szekler way of life from an external perspective, to examine it in relative terms, and to reflect on ourselves, our culture, and our identity.
9. What are your plans for the future?
I am currently participating in an Erasmus exchange programme in Shanghai, China. Here, I aim to explore what the educational institution has to offer, take advantage of the city's opportunities, and immerse myself in self-discovery while stepping out of my comfort zone in a new environment and culture. My primary focus for the next year will be completing my degree project. After that, I aspire to live as independently as possible, develop one of my projects into a business, and pursue autonomous creative work.
