Art Encounters Foundation launches an open call for 10 Romanian artists interested in producing new works related to the city of Timișoara.
The Coliziuni program will take place from September to October 2024, with the aim to support and encourage artistic creation and production, and is funded through the Priority Program of the Ministry of Culture. Coliziuni aims to support the production of Romanian contemporary art and also marks the launch of the sixth edition of the Art Encounters Biennial, an event that has consolidated Timișoara's position on the national and international contemporary art scene.

Conditions of participation:
The call is open to Romanian artists from the country and diaspora.
Availability for research visit to Timisoara in October 2024
Each artist selected for the residency must propose a new work following the residency
The proposal will be presented at a public event in Timisoara.
Financial aspects:
The honorarium awarded to each of the 10 finalist artists is 7500 lei gross.
The Art Encounters Foundation covers transportation and accommodation costs in Timisoara for the research visit in October 2024.
The budget allocated to the commissioned works will be discussed individually after the selection of the 10 artists in residence.
The Coliziuni project is organized by Art Encounters Foundation and funded by the Ministry of Culture through the Priority Cultural Programme.
