Aranka Adelina Vass is a Stefan Lengyel Scholarship of Excellence winner

Updated: Feb 21

"The Stefan Lengyel Scholarship of Excellence brought to life by the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Fund besides supporting the students, based on their achievements, lays great emphasis on the development of their up-to-date practical competencies and their professional integration. The program includes two modules.

The winning projects were once again driven by social awareness and the exploration of opportunities at the intersection of technology and art. Among the awarded works are a senior care application, several educational games, exciting architectural concepts, and a project that utilises drones as musical instruments. A total of 47 students presented their projects in this semester’s five final rounds, from whom the jury selected the sixteen recipients of the award.

The Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design has presented the Stefan Lengyel Scholarship of Excellence for the eighth time, recognising the outstanding work of its most exceptional students. The program, which has provided merit-based and professional support to a total of 112 students so far, honours those who approach contemporary design challenges with an innovative, critical, and socially conscious mindset, building their semester projects on outstanding ideas."

Aranka won the scholarship with her design SWISH, which is an offline plugin, a physical device for electronic musical instruments, enabling people with hearing impairments to enjoy music alongside hearing individuals.

Congratulations!
