In limbo Q&A I Tünde Hegedűs

1. Briefly introduce yourself: what are the things you like to do, what is important in your life?

What do I like to do? Well, I mostly enjoy planning, and please don't just interpret this as a fashion designer's response, but I love planning in every minute of life, feeling the hustle and bustle. That's when I feel life most vividly. I've always known myself as someone who doesn't like to laze around much, who doesn't like it when time passes in vain; I always need to be working on something useful, whether it's tasks necessary for future plans or even cooking and baking.

2. What does fashion design mean to you?

For me, fashion serves as a means of expression that reflects the connection between the body and the soul. We convey thoughts and emotions that formulate within us based on our experiences, and we strive to convey these to the audience through the designed clothes.

3. What or who inspires you in your own creative work?

I have always paid great attention, and I still do today, to where I live and who surrounds me. I believe that this has one of the greatest impacts on our shaping; the environment and the people associated with it contribute significantly to the development of our personality. This fact is highly inspiring to me and has always served as a source of inspiration.

4. What was the last topic you dealt with?

The latest topic I focused on was the subject of my master's thesis, which centered around the formation of our own identity. I explored how our own past and the knowledge of it influence the development of our personality and, consequently, our own creations as well.

5. In your opinion, does Odorheiu Secuiesc need associations/communities that support contemporary art activities?

Of course, if you don't want more young people abroad.

6. What does it mean to you to be an artist from Odorheiu Secuiesc or its surroundings?

Responsibility. I believe that it is our responsibility to show people a mirror of what is happening in the area and, above all, who is here.

7. What opportunities do you see in Off Space's initiatives and how does the association differ from similar organisations/initiatives in Odorheiu Secuiesc?

The Off Space provides an environment for artists where they can dare to be themselves, expressing their own identity through their creations. With their innovative perspective, they introduce various events into the city's life, providing artists with the opportunity to showcase their values. They are open to collaborations, approachable, and purposeful. They know what they want to achieve and steadily move towards it, step by step.

8. What would you change in Odorheiu Secuiesc from an artistic point of view?

We should not see each other as competitors, but as partners who can be counted on.

9. What are your plans for the future?

The aim is to start my own business, but I can not give you more information.
